My Husband Prefers Blondes

"Oh great, another blonde to ruin the night,: whispers Selena to herself.

Her husband, James immediately spots the blonde. He sits up straight with raised eyebrows looking on. Blondes are a weakness for James, he can spot them a mile away. Selena is saddened and her night is now ruined.

"I will never be what he truly wants," thinks Selena. Many years ago James cheated on Selena with a blonde girl that he met at a bar when he went out with the guys one night. After a few short months, James was forgiven for his infidelity by Selena. Ever since they were married almost seventeen years ago, Selena would notice that when a blonde came around, James would get all stupid.

"What's wrong?" asked James. Selena looks him dead in his eyes. "You know what's wrong." said Selena. "Not again, " says James. "Why do you have to stare so much and act all weird anytime a blonde girl comes around?"  asks Selena. "I told you, I can't help it. Blondes stand out and I can't help but look." responds James. "Why on earth did you marry a Spanish brunette when it's the blonde American girls that get your attention?" asked Selena. "Babe, they just stand out more." says James. "What does that make me?" asked Selena. "This has nothing to do with you. I can't help but look when a blonde comes into the room. They're easy to spot," he says. "You cheated on me with a blonde all those years ago.  It hurts so bad knowing that I am not the type of girl that gets your attention. I just can't figure out why you ever pursued me." says Selena. "I never wanted to marry a blonde. Nobody marries a blonde. They're just fun to play with." says James. "James, sometimes I want to leave you because I know that I will never be your dream girl. Why don't you go after your dream girl and marry her? It's not fair to me or any other brunette," says Selena. "Stop being all mad. It's not like I'm talking to them. I just look." he says. "You did more than look before." says Selena. "You'll never get over that, will you?" "No, I never will." she responds. I know deep in my heart that I will never be the girl that you truly want, and honestly, I may leave you one day because I can't stand the pain that I feel every time a blonde girl walks into the room." says Selena. "That's dumb." says James. "If I leave you, then, I will be free to find someone that thinks Spanish girls are beautiful. I want to be with a man that finds me incredibly sexy." she says. "You'll never find that. There's no such thing. All men are more attracted to blondes. It's just a fact." says James. Tears roll down Selena's face.

"James, hey buddy, how the hell are you?" says Brad, one of their old friends who happens to have blonde hair and green eyes. "Hey, I'm good." replies James. Brad looks over at Selena and notices the tears on her face. "What's going on here?" asks Brad. "Oh, it's nothing, I'm okay." replies Selena. "James, if you don't treat this girl right, I will take her away from you in a heartbeat." says Brad. "Whatever dude." responds James. "Man, I'm serious. I am truly mesmerized by Spanish women. Selena here is my dream girl. Friend or not, she will be mine if you don't treat her right. says Brad. Selena smiles at Brad then turns to look at James and smirks. "Thank you, Brad. I feel much better." says Selena as she wipes her tears away. James frowns and slumps in his chair.

Two months later, Selena divorces James and marries Brad.

A pinch of, "Her Jealous Husband," one of the stories in my book, "The Wives of Machismo."

Soon, Victoria is coming to work with bruises on her arms and face. Her Boss watches her every day and realizes that she's everything that he's ever wanted in a woman. At forty-two years old, he's never been married because he has never found, "the one." A few weeks pass and Victoria doesn't show up to work one day. Her boss calls her house but doesn't get an answer. He's really worried about her so he drives over to her house. He knocks on the door. Victoria slowly cracks the door open. What he saw stopped him. He could barely recognize Victoria. Her face was swollen and purple. One eye was completely closed shut. "You shouldn't be here," says Victoria softly. "Oh my God! Victoria, are you okay?" he asks in a panic. "I'm okay, she says in a quiet voice. "Victoria, get your purse and whatever you can't leave behind and come with me, now." he says as tears begin to roll down his face. She stutters, "W

One day, you may just walk away.

Many women spend their whole life in an unhappy relationship. They stay for security. They stay for their children. They stay because they are fearful to take that step. But, sometimes, a woman who has endured hurt, sadness and disrespect from her husband, will one day, walk away.  Fear keeps many women under the thumb of a man. Usually, this man is disrespectful, a liar, and a cheater. These types of men are usually bothered by the presence of their wife. Once a man has other women on the side, their wife can't do anything right.  My short story books take you behind the scenes in this type of life. Some women sadly stay, some bravely leave, and a few witness their husband get the karma they deserve.  Click on link below and take a peek.  https://sandramoreno.org/

When he said, "I DO."

When he said I do, he made his plans to own me. When he said I do, he began to be rude to me. When he said I do, I began to annoy him. When he said I do, he found fault in everything I did. When he said I do, he started to raise his voice to me. When he said I do, I was not attractive to him anymore. When he said I do, he no longer enjoyed my presence. When he said I do, he started to be mean to me. When he said I do, he began to disrespect me. When he said I do, he started to touch me with anger. When he said I do, he began to cheat on me. When he said I do, he became jealous of any person who made me happy. When he said I do, he started telling me what I can and can't do. When he said I do, he started to control me. When he said I do, he slapped me. When he said I do, nothing I ever said was right. When he said I do, he made me feel stupid. When he said I do, he started to get mad more often. When he said I do, he started to throw things in anger. When he said I do, he found othe
